The type of wood you choose is entirely your prerogative and dependent on your living room space aesthetics.

Step-by-Step Assembly Instructions

Step 1: Connecting the L-Shapes to Build the Box

First make an L-shape, by connecting the top to one of the sides. Drill pilot holes and countersink holes. Then apply some wood glue and fasten together with six screws. Repeat the same process to make the bottom and the other side. Then fasten the two L-shapes together, also drilling pilot holes, countersinking holes, applying wood glue, and fastening together with screws.

Step 2: Building the Central Shelf Section

Assemble the central shelves and dividers by connecting the two shelves to the dividers with screws.

Step 3: Securing the Shelves in the Box

Slide the central shelf section into the box and secure the shelves in place with screws from the top and bottom.

Step 4: Attaching the Doors

You are now ready to attach two doors on either side of the shelves inserted in Step 3. Hang the doors on the unit using the hinges provided.

Finishing Touches

Now that your TV unit has been installed, you can add in some decorative elements. This can be anything from giving it a fresh coat of paint, attaching handles, or adding in some other decorative features. In the same breath, make sure all components are securely fastened and the unit is stable.
