Competition Name: “Guess the Age” Social Media Quiz

Terms and Conditions

1. The promoter of the Competition is Timbercity, a brand within The Building Company (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”).
2. The name of the Competition is Timbercity My Design Rules Social Media UGC Competition (“the Competition”)
3. The Competition will run from 15 –31 January 2026 (“the Competition Period”).
4. By entering the Competition and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
5. The Competition prizes (“the Prizes”) to be won include the following:

How to Enter:

1. Social Media Entries (Facebook & Instagram SA only. Participants can earn one entry by completing any of the following:
2. Guess the Age Challenge: Comment your guess of Timbercity’s age on the competition post and include #Timbercity50.
3. Bonus Entry: Completing all social media actions (Like + Follow + Share + Tag + Guess) will qualify as three entries.
4. The Competition is open to all participants within South Africa that are South African citizens (in possession of a valid South African ID) and South African residents (in possession of a valid South African permanent residency permit). You are not eligible to participate in this Competition if:

(a) You are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or its affiliates/divisions/ subsidiaries or any other person who supplies goods or services in connection with the Competition.

(b) You are a spouse, life partner, parent, child or sibling, immediate family member, business partner or associate of the persons specified above.

7 . The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any user who enters using false information by entry forms or like means.

8. Main Prize in this Competition is not transferable or exchangeable for cash.
9. There will only be 1 (one) winner for the prize.
10. Winners must collect the prizes in person and present their valid original South African ID or permanent residency permit. No copies will be accepted.
11. The draw for the winner will take place on 5^th of February 2026. The winners will be chosen randomly from all the valid entries.
12. Winners will be contacted by the Store Manager within 48 (forty-eight) hours of the draw.
13. An alternative winner will be drawn 48 (forty-eight) hours from the date of announcing the original winner if that winner is not able to be contacted using the details provided.
14. Timbercity and their delivery agent does not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for the purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this Competition.
15. Winners give Timbercity and its authorised agents consent to use their names for publicity purposes, unless consent is explicitly withheld.
16. Timbercity reserves the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations which you may have against and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against Timbercity.
17. Your privacy is very important to Timbercity and it will use reasonable efforts to ensure that any information, including personal information, provided by you, or which is collected from you, is stored in a secure manner.

(a) You agree to provide Timbercity with accurate and current information and to maintain and update such information when necessary.

(b) The information collected by Timbercity may be used to send you information about products, services, and special offers of the various companies in The Building Company group that may be of interest or value to you.

(c) The information may also be processed by Timbercity and other companies in The Building Company group, any of their operators, agents and sub-contractors (who may be outside South Africa) on the condition that they will keep such information confidential.

(d) You acknowledge that any information supplied to Timbercity in terms of these Terms and Conditions is provided voluntarily.

(e) By submitting any information to Timbercity in any form, you further acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing of such information by Timbercity under any applicable law in the manner contemplated above, which consent shall, in the absence of any written objection received from you, be indefinite and/or for the period otherwise required in terms of any applicable law.

(f) Unless you have consented, Timbercity will not sell, exchange, transfer, rent or otherwise make available any personal information about you (such as name, address, email address, telephone or fax number) to other parties and you indemnify Timbercity from any unintentional disclosures of such information to unauthorized persons.

(g) Should you believe that Timbercity has used your personal information contrary to applicable law, you shall first resolve any concerns with Timbercity. If you are not satisfied with such a process, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

18. You can choose to be excluded from direct marketing by notifying Timbercity in writing or by registering a block on any registry which Timbercity is bound by law to recognise. Timbercity will not charge you a fee to update this request on its systems. Timbercity will give effect to any changes requested by you as soon as reasonably possible.
